An economy candle consists of a glass cup, filled with wax and having a central wick, which is inserted into a recess on top of an insulating cylinder resting on a supporting tube. The whole is coated with wax to give the appearance of a candle. The rim of the cup stands out one-sixth to one-third of its depth beyond the outer rim of the support.
