A push-in tubular socket for inserting a filtering nozzle from one side only into a passage through a tank wall, esp. floor, in a liquid treatment plant, is internally threaded to engage the external thread of the nozzle stem and has a longitudinally split, splayed leading end for pushing through the wall, with external shoulder to engage the other side of the wall; the rear end has an annular collar to engage the near side of the wall on one of its faces and receive the nozzle on the other face. This collar surrounds the rear end of the socket tube at a radial distance and is set back axially from that end, being connected to it by a flexible disc-shaped membrane which enables the collar to adjust its axial distance from the shoulder at the other side of the wall, thus fitting tightly against walls of different thicknesses.
