The frictional contact set comprises one metallic member and one organically bonded member with a thin fast wearing running in surface layer contg. Al and/or Mg or alloys thereof plus peroxides which are bonded to each other and the friction matl. base by easily combustable and/or chemically cracked resins and/or rubber or cellulose adhesive. The surface layer may comprise a woven reinforcement mesh of organic/inorganic threads. The surface layer assists running in of the surfaces which is done quickly and does not require great care. It is used in machines, transmissions, for brakes etc.
