UV-curable printing inks with unsatd polyester binder - contg. mono olefinically unsatd comonomer photopolymerisation initiator for rapid cure to flexible film

These inks, contg. the usual additives, contain a binder component comprising a mixt. of 20-90 (wt.)% unsatd. polyester(s), 5-85% comonomer(s), which is liq. at R. temp. and has b.pt. 180 degrees C/normal press. and 1-30% initiator(s). UV cure is rapid and only slightly affected by the O2 in the air. The ink can be cured to the tack-free state with light and then cured thermally. Cured coatings up to 10 mu m thick do not disintegrate when the paper is folded. Little or no solvent is needed.
