Installation for mass prodn ceramic components comprises roller or belt conveyors between the prodn. stations and the tunnel dryers, with in front of the dryers, storage elevators for placing filled trays both on top of each other and side by side for inter. storage. Similar elevators are provided at the dryer outlet. The installation comprises sensors which ensure that the elevators are working only when full trays are being conveyed to the dryer. The system ensures evening out of the workpiece flow so that interruption in prodn do not disrupt workpiece flow through the dryer which in such a case is fed with stored components.
