A loaded borehole flushing liquid based on water, oil or an oil/water emulsion is loaded with technical iron oxide with 80% Fe2O3, a rounded grain shape, a sedimentation rate is not half that of known loading agents, s.g. 4.5-5 grain size 75 mu and with is not 50 wt.% grains 10 mu. The fluid causes less abrasion of boring tools and plant. The loading agent is easily wetted by aq. and non-aq. media and disperses easily; it shows less sedimentation, The liquid bonds considerable amts. of H2S and thus exerts a certain buffer action.
