Synthetic yarn stretching and texturising process - with initial heating unit as stretch spindle before yarn enters heating unit

The initial heating unit in the form of a stretch spindle, is heated by a thermal bridge from the main heating unit, so that its temp. is marginally above the softening point of the yarn material to give the stretch action, but does not reduce it to a plastic condition, this phase occurring when the yarn passes over the contact heating surface of the main heater before the yarn is twisted to give the texturising effect. This provides a single-stage process which controls the temps. applied so that the yarn is conditioned for the stretching and the texturising phases.
