Title cpds 1,3-bis-(beta-ethylhexyl)-5-amino-5-methyl-hexahydropyrimidine nicotinic acid salt is prepd from nicotinic acid and hexetidine base in an org. solvent esp. petn ether (40/80), MeOH hexane, DMF iso-PrOH benzene or EtOH and is of formula (I): (I) is useful as an antibacterial agent.
