A method of measuring possible corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete by chloride ions, involves EMF measurement of a cell consisting of a standard electrode, inserted in the base of the core through an insulating lacquer layer and a chloride sensitive electrode inserted through a number of holes, in turn, stamped in the length of the lacquer-covered core at various heights.
