Suspended matter separation in sewage plant - esp. from secondary purification zones behind sludge ventilation zones

A modification to the hinged double wall separating ventilation and secondary purification zones, in which the inclination can be altered by suitably placed jacks, enables the separate walls to be adjusted relatively to the tank bottom, independently of each other. The overflow from the ventilating zone flowing down within the double wall, is divided into streams into both the secondary and the ventilating zones their volume depending upon the distance of the partitions from the bottom, and upon the delivery of the sludge returning pumps from the secondary zone.
