Control rods and stationary parts of combustible material (poison) are used in the groups of fuel elements. Within at least one of the fuel element groups at least one empty space is left for the interchangeable acceptance of a rod composed only of absorber material. These rods are changed cyclically with the reloading cycles and are of aluminium-gadolinium.
