Room-temp cross-linkable binder - based on sulphite/sulphate cellulose wastes redox component and oxidn agent mixed before use

摘要

The binder which is cross-linkable by oxidative coupling between lignin components of cellulose prodn. wastes and is mixed immediately before use has the following components (a) sulphite/sulphate cellulose prodn. washes (b) a redox component e.g. potassium ferricyanide and (c) an oxidn. agent e.g. hydrogen peroxide. It is used as an adhesive or size for wood and as a binder in chipboard, plywood etc. prodn.
