Sepn. of after - runnings products in continuous and intermittently operated alcohol rectification by withdrawing these products from the rectifying column and supplying via a receiver to a bowl centrifuge to separate them into a water - alcohol mixture and fusel oil. In particular the water-alcohol mixture is recycled to a fore-runnings column of the appts.
