Oven bake plastic food packs - with microperforations to vent the pack without loss of liquid

Plastic packs for containing food portions for oven baking, have microperforations =500 mu dia. on part of the pack. Pref. the packs are made of cellulosic, polyamide, polyester or other films which are transparent to thermal radiation and which have a m.pt. 250 degrees C. Packs may be composite, with non perforated rigid support or tray sealed to a porous cover film. Bursting of the pack when the internal gases are heated up in the oven is prevented. The pack obviates need to remove or puncture the pack and expose the food prior to coating.
