Hydraulic and brake fluids - of glycol or glycol ether type, contg N-alkyl pyrrolidones for improved lubrication

The hydraulic fluids contain N-alkyl pyrrolidones, pref. in amt. of 20-60 wt.% of the total. Pref. additives are N-(m)ethylpyrrolidones. They are suitable for use as brake fluids in vehicles, esp. in power-assisted systems using pumps, where lubrication is improved while retaining other necessary props.
