Resin impregnated bamboo latice panels - with stiffness and moisture resistance enhanced by melamine resins

Crossply panels made of superimposed panels of woven bamboo strips impregnated with resin and subsequently hot pressed and cured. Claims panels incorporating one, two or three layers of woven lattes and weighing approx. 1.5, 3 or 4 kg/m2 resp. Pref. the panels support or enclose at least one layer of acoustic/thermal insulation. Extends the performance of joinery panels made primarily from indigeneous materials in e.g. S.E. Asian countries. Resin bonded woven structures may also be cut into smaller pieces without disintegrating.
