Dental alloy for facing teeth - comprising gold, platinum, zinc, copper, palladium and opt. ruthenium

Dental alloy for forming gold coloured facing on a dental prosthesis comprises 85-86% Au, 10% Pt, 1% Pd, 1% Cu, 2-2.5% Zn and opt. =0.01% Ru. The alloy is moulded onto and sintered to a false tooth of ceramic base. The finished prosthesis is hard (200 HV) and gives stronger gold teeth.
