Foam flotation of non-ferrous sulphide minerals - by conditioning the pulp in several stages using the stirrer energy for activation of the mineral

The prepd. pulp is conditioned in several stages by stirring in an alkaline medium, e.g. lime, Ca(OH)2, NaOH, Na2CO3, NH4OH the pulp having a pH of 8-12. The pulp contains a collecting medium e. g. an anionic sulphohydryl collector, and pref. a fuel oil, the pulp is stirred with an energy consumption of specified power per ton treated mineral, sufficient to activate =1 of the sulphide minerals, e.g. Cu-, Ni-, or a Mo sulphide.
