The kerb, for road or pavement, is formed, without the need for digging trenches etc., from parallelepiped blocks whose end faces have cooperating tongues and sockets. The base of each block has grooves formed as crosses and extending transversely and these allow the blocks to slide relative to a mounting surface for correct alignment. The blocks are bonded to suitable surfaces using eg, concrete, synthetic resins, bitumen and the blocks may be angled so that they can be used to cover existing kerbs.
