Steel scraper mat with cleaning brushes - motion of brushes protruding between bars automatically cleans soles

The mat is made as a pattern of parallel grid bars. In the spaces between, brushes protrude from below to cover the area of the grille. These brushes are also mounted on a frame which is held against the grille by leaf springs. A rod, mounted elastically to absorb vibrations, is driven by an electric motor to produce the required reciprocating motion of the brushes. The complete unit fits in a floor well and can be hinged upwards for cleaning.
