Each player has a marker in the shape of a model cyclist of a distinctive colour, and a number of counters to a definite value, depending on the type of race; six days, sprints, time trials, relay races being some of those possible. The skill required depends on the type of race and consists of playing counters to obtain advantageous positions. After using, each counter is replaced by the player drawing at random from a central bank. The track is in the form of a velodrome or similar, with two adjacent tracks divided into square, adjacent squares of the two tracks being similarly numbered.
