1357018 Ingot mould hot-top liners J-C DAUSSAN G DAUSSAN and A DAUSSAN 5 Nov 1971 [22 July 1971] 51639/71 Heading B3F [Also in Division B4] A lining for ingot mould hot tops is cast from a slurry containing solid ingredients in a porous walled mould (see Divisions B4-B5), and in order to provide recesses in the lining which may receive molten metal during a metal casting process, heat destructible cores 12 are located in the porous-walled mould. The cores may be destroyed during the drying stage of the mould material or when the lining is located in an ingot mould and heated by cast metal. The cores may be made of foamed plastics, sawdust/ paper mixture or paper/metal carbonate mixture.
