1361875 Stop motion WILH BLEYLE KG 11 Nov 1971 [30 March 1971] 52414/71 Heading DID In apparatus for stopping a yarn processing machine because of excess yarn tension or yarn breakage, an electro-magnet 4 Fig. 1, controlled by central, infinitely variable, controller 10, holds pivoted arm 3 in a base position until rising tension in running yarn 1 pulls arm 3 from the magnet. Feeler 6, resting on yarn 1, is then lowered to close contact m1 to stop the machine. If the yarn breaks, feeler 6 falls and opens contact m2 to switch off the magnet. Alternatively the arm 3 is held in a base position by suction (Fig. 2, not shown) or, Fig. 3, excess yarn tension overcomes the force exerted by electro-magnet 4' to slide member 18 along bar 17, the spring- biased yarn contacting feeler 6 then moving to actuate switches m1, m2. If the yarn breaks, feeler 6 enters cavity 19 and actuates the switches.
