A rectangular glass tank contains enough water for fish and encloses above the water a space in which birds can be kept. The bottom of the tanks is covered by soil, sand or gravel which extends above te water to form a kind of shore for plants. A compartment holds a pump and filter unit fed by a suction pipe in the tank, and delivering through a pipe above the water line in the tank. It also houses electrical connections for a thermostat and resistances. A door in one side with a gap at its lower edge combines with an opening in the roof to provide air circulation.
