[Also in Division C2] Pharmaceutical compositions having antidepressant, -Parkinsonism and -motion sickness and appetite suppressant activity comprise, as active ingredient, at least one 1-aminoalkyladamantane of the general formula wherein n is 1 or 2; RSP1/SP is a hydrogen atom or a C 1-4 alkyl group or, when n is 1, RSP1/SP and RSP4/SP together form a methylene group; RSP2/SP is a hydrogen atom or C 1-4 alkyl group or, when n is 1, a C 1-4 hydroxyalkyl or phenyl-C 1- 4 alkyl group, RSP3/SP is a hydrogen atom or a C 1-4 alkyl group or, when RSP2/SP is a hydrogen atom, RSP3/SP is an amidino, pyrimidinyl or C 1-4 alkylpyrimidinyl group, or NRSP2/SPRSP3/SP is a pyrrolidino, piperidino, NC 1-4 alkylpiperazino or N-C 1-4 hydroxyalkylpiperazino group; RSP4/SP is a hydrogen or chlorine atom or a phenyl group or, when n is 1, a bromine atom or cyclohexyl group; RSP5/SP and RSP6/SP are each a hydrogen atom or, when n is 1, a chlorine atom or phenyl group; provided that one of RSP4/SP, RSP5/SP and RSP6/SP is not a chlorine atom and the others are hydrogen atoms or RSP4/SP is not a bromine atom and RSP5/SP and RSP6/SP are hydrogen atoms, when RSP7/SP, RSP8/SP and RSP9/SP are hydrogen atoms, RSP1/SP is a hydrogen atom or a C 1-4 alkyl group, one of RSP2/SP and RSP3/SP is a hydrogen atom and the other is a C 1-4 alkyl group and n is 1; RSP7/SP is a hydrogen or bromine atom or a hydroxyl or -(CH 2 ) n - -CHR a SP1/SP-NR a SP2/SPR a SP3/SP group, wherein n is 1 or 2 and R a SP1/SP, R a SP2/SP and R a SP3/SP are each a hydrogen atom or a C 1-4 alkyl group, or, when n is 1, RSP7/SP is a methyl group; and RSP8/SP and RSP9/SP are each a hydrogen atom or, when n is 1, a methyl group; or pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, in association with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
