摘要
Feed water filtered through a sand bed is preheated by pure water from the reverse osmosis plant. It is further heated by water from the oxidiser and mixed with commercial oxygen at 40-110 atm. The temp. in the oxidiser is 250-300 degrees C. The pressure is used for the reverse osmosis which is pref. done at 40-100 degrees C to reduce the viscosity. Preremoval of organic and microbiological impurities reduces fouling, destroys persistent poisons which would remain in the waste water and allows ion exchange of the waste water to remove heavy metals.
