Junction box for fitting in thin wall using at least two tensioning support brackets coupled to slots in the side. The brackets are spring loaded with a leaf spring (11) with one end against the section of the side wall near the edge of the box, and the other end fixed to a nut (10), in the side of the junction box. A screw (9) is threaded through a hole (6) in the edge of the box, and used for adjusting the degree of buckling of the leaf spring. The nut can be slid along the slots and the adjustments screw fits through a hole at one end of the leaf spring.
