PROCEDURES FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF METALS APPROVED WITH A DIFFERENCE OF AT LEAST 90 OF THEORETICAL DIFFERENCE DURING REDUCTIONS AND THEIR INSTALLATIONS
Metal object is produced in accordance with NL Pat. Appl. 6808309, with the improvement that a compressable agglomerate is formed consisting of particle metal compound mixed with plasticiser or binding agent, in which the metal compounds have a standard-free reaction energy with hydrogen for forming elementary metal of less than +15 kcal/gat. hydrogen at reaction temp. and at least 35% by wt. of the particle metal compound has a particle size of less than 10 microns. The agglomerate is compressed subject to reducing atmosphere at a temp. under the sublimation point or the melting point of the metal or the metal compound and above the evaporation or decomposition temp. of all present non-metal compounds for a period sufficient to reduce the greater part of the particles. The compressed agglomerate is heated to sinter the reduced particles of the elementary metal.
