JET SPALLING ASSEMBLY AND DRILL-SPALLING RIG

A jet spalling assembly for use as a unit of a mobile drill-spalling rig, comprising a plurality of telescoping tubes; an upper end section of the outermost tube disposed out of the telescoping relationship; a plurality of conduits extending into the upper end tube section through a side thereof, and then downwardly through the tubes to an externally disposed burner attached to the end of the innermost tube, for conveying materials for combustion in the burner, and water for cooling the burner during combustion; and means for discharge of separate streams of water and hot combustion product from the burner for the spalling action.
