The reading material such as newspapers or magazines are held by clamp which pivots in the U-shaped section of the housing, while a strap is used for suspension of the holder. The shank ends are located in an end wall and handle with their pins subject to tension of a spring. The control of the periodical clamping is made with a stud in the recess of handle while locking is provided by a spring acting on the stud. The release or locking of the clamp is achieved by turning the handle. The U-bar on the side of housing holds a protective cover of a flexible plastic.
