Aerosol container with contents discharged by compressed gas include means (11 to 13, 16) for releasing the remaining compressed gas from an empty container (10), to thereby minimise the possibility of an explosion when the container (10) is exposed to heat. This includes a spray head (13) with an inner screw thread which when screwed on an outer screw thread of an attachment (13) of the container cover (18) remains permanently open, and a membrane (16) enclosing and sealing an opening (17) in the concave container bottom (15). The membrane (16) is made from a plastic which softens or from a metal alloy which melts when the container is heated.
