The flasher circuit alternately flashes two a.c. signal lamps using a thyristor and a triac. The triac is coupled between the first lamp and one supply terminal and is controlled from a main transformer first secondary. The output of the transformer second secondary is rectified and used to supply the transistor control circuit that turns a thyristor on and off. The thyristor determines the voltage applied by a second rectifier bridge to the second lamp. The second rectifier bridge is connected to the same supply points as the first lamp and triac. The thyristor and its control circuit operate together as an oscillator.
