The circuit arrangement includes a start/stop switching unit, a pulse generator and a synchroniser. Incoming binary data passes to a redundancy detector which manipulates the start/stop switching unit to avoid the processing or transmission of redundant data. The interruption circuit is time controlled by the pulse circuit and phased with the computation circuits by the synchroniser. Storage of data is effected by a signal store in the form of a moving file register. The stop switch circuit includes an element sensitive to the detection of the last record to switch the process off when no longer required. The pulse generator is in circuit with a frequency divider and an oscillator, the latter having five-times the frequency of the pulses.
