A mixture is used which binds exothermally and another mixture which sets at low temp. after being moistened. Spec., the first mixture consists of 1-10% aluminium, 6-15% iron oxide, chromium oxides or their mixtures, 25-90% magnesium oxide, 5-40% calcium oxide, 0-3.0% silicon, 0.3-3.0 halide flux 0.3-20% aluminium oxide and max. 8% silicon oxide.
