The rinsing basin has an overflow channel containing a releasably held discharge funnel for food remains etc. An inlet sieve is fixed in the overflow channel by a centrally arranged screw securing it to a cross element in the overflow channel below the discharge funnel. This screw has a spigot-type head which engages an insertion sheath in the outlet of the discharge funnel, which also contains the sieve. The screw head circumferential surface has flat sections, fitting corresponding sections of the insertion sheath.
