Industrial gases decontaminated and neutralised - in successive washing and treatment chambers on unit composed principle

An appts. for decontaminating and neutralising industrial waste gas and vapour comprises a multichamber system (chambers superimposed or adjacent) where the gas passes successively through washing chambers A, B and C (pref. contg. respectively acid, alkaline and neutral decontaminating agents) to give an acceptable pH value and purity when it reaches the chimney. The sequence of the chambers can pref. be varied to suit the nature of the gas; the agents may also contain oxidising or reducing substances. The washing units are pref. of plastics, steel or stainless steel; additional units can be added.
