Compsn. contains- 28.5%, halohydrocarbon with b.pt. above 40 degrees C., 47.5 degrees C., 1.5%, halohydrocarbon with b.pt. below -2 degrees C., pref. -4 degrees C., 2.0% foaming agent and, 68.0% water in the form of an emulsion. Compsn. is esp. useful for petrol fires; inlike prior art compsn., it always foams before reaching the seat of the fire and there is no danger of its sinking in the burning liq.
