Increasing coercive field strength of cobalt-rare earth magnets - by magnetising, heat treating and remagnetising

The permanent magnets are heated to 200-600 degrees C, cooled and then remagnetised in the same direction in which they were originally magnetised. An increased coercive field strength is obtd. using relatively low applied magnetic field strengths.
