Industrial carbon component tunnel kiln - burns distillation products in its firing zone

The kiln comprises preheating, distilling, firing and cooling zones. The pyrolysis prods. from the distillation zone are drawn off and are mixed with preheated air and are burnt in the firing zone, the flue gases from which are drawn off are at least partly introduced counter current-wise into the preheating zone. The distilln. prods. plus preheated air are supplemented with fuel and burnt in wall fitted burners in the firing zone. The system is thermally highly efficient and generates tar-free flue gases eliminating the need for special purification plant.
