Feeding vulcanisable rubber compsn to moulding machines - by coating non-vulcanisable particles with vulcanisers and compounding

In feeding a vulcanisable rubber cpd. to an extruder, injection moulding machine or similar appts., small particles of a non-vulcanisable cpd. are coated with pulverulent vulcanising adjuvants and fed into a compounding device which directly conveys the matl. into the appts. Quantities of moulding cpd. larger than those immediately reqd. need not be prepd. so that the spoilage of degradable surplus cpd. is avoided. Only raw (non-vulcanisable) cpd. need be stored which are more stable than cpds. already contg. vulcanisers.
