The standing crop is harvested and passes along a delivery machine into a grinder, where it is chopped up to the required degree of fineness, and where any humidity, dryness, stickiness, inhomogeneity or straw-impurities are smoothly dealt with. After passing through the grinder, it is conveyed to a silo or transporter, for immediate or subsequent fodder.
