This method can be used also for centering and aligning of vertical loads such as high rise building which may have large eccentricities relative to the load bearing centre of the foundation. An edge region under the building is excavated so that it does not participate in supporting the weight of the building. Filling material is injected into this cavity or removed by means of a pipeline. This cavity can be divided into a number of different rooms by a partitioning bulkheads. Each of these rooms can have its own pipelines. Permanent correction is carried out by injecting concrete. A permanent or temporary correction can be carried out by injecting a medium which does not harden and which can be removed again. The cavities used for correction can be designed into the system so that corrections can be carried out if necessary should the conditions under the building undergo continuous change for example due to settlement, outside buildings or due to modification of the buildings.
