The light arc moves under the effect of a magnetic field between two transit electrodes and during this travel it increases an additional magnetic blast field automatically, continuously or in stanges. The additional magnetic blast field may be switched on by the light arc already during its motion to the transit electrodes in steps. The transit electrodes may form a spiral of mutual coaxial and parallel configuration. The inner spiral of the transit electrode may end in a ring. One of the transit electrode may be a coil, forming a magnetic blast coil for the light arc and surrounding concentrically a cylindrical transit electrode with a preset spacing. The coil end may form a closed ring.
