The self-starting valve oscillator with adjustable HF output power has a negative blocking voltage, of the same phase as the anode voltage, applied to the valve grid. The blocking voltage is supplied by a high impedance source and is short circuited by a thyristor controlled according to the oscillator phase. The valve anode is coupled over a feedback transformer to the grid and cathode. The grid is connected over an HF choke and resistor to the thyristor cathode. The thyristor anode is coupled to the earthed cathode. The ignition pulses for the thyristor are obtained from an adjustable pulse generator and applied to the gate over a transformer.
