A ring traveler for a ring doubling frame or a ring spinning machine consists of two separate parts, the top part carrying the runner in the usual way, and the lower part being rigidly fixed to the ring rail, the two parts being joined by a number of vertical steel pins which ensures that the two parts are flexibly joined in the radial direction. This allows speeds to be increased and prevents breaking of threads.
