Road boundary has rollers and a yielding catch net along it, and roads with four or more lanes and a central strip have an earth dam with multi-leaved bushes on the central strip. The rollers in the projecting nose enable car wheels to continue turning and the catch net is located at danger points to absorb the speed of the vehicle. Spinning cars are guided back into the direction of travel by the net and the bushes in the centre conceal the light from vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.
