Sync. cct. for HF radar transmitter signals - uses phase comparison, periodic gate cct. and adjustable divider

For synchronisation of the transmission frequency uses periodic gating circuit and an adjustable divider, with the open duration time of the gating circuit recorded by a transmission pulse counter and the recorded value supplied to a store. The frequency divider is connected to the latter, which supplies the stored value as the divisor. The frequency divider circuit is inserted between an oscillator providing the modulated transmission signal and which is continuously variable over a wide frequency range, and a phase comparator, connected in a phase regulating circuit for the oscillator, to allow a reference frequency generator which is variable over a much smaller frequency range to be used for the comparison.
