Transportation by rolling of railway wheel sets - using conveying platforms with catches for maintenance- or manufacturing workshops

The wheel set to be transported is held by hingeable catches, and advanced. The catches are located at a distance to each other, which is smaller than one transportation stroke. The catches may be lowered to below rolling plane, but are locked in the opposite direction. The conveying element contains a connecting rod, extending parallel to the plane in the direction of the transportation. The rod, which carries the catches, is guided in curved sections in an upward inclined direction.
