The central agitator shaft is led through the end face of the tank, with agitator arms fixed radially to it, the heater being mounted inside its hollow interior. The arms may also be hollow and contain heating media; these heaters and/or the shaft-mounted heater may be electric tube heaters with current passing through loop rings on the shaft; or thermal oil, steam or other heat conveyors may be led through the hollows. Blocking sheets in the shaft may conduct at least part of the heating medium flow through the arms before it returns to the shaft. Heating and agitation times are reduced.
