Gas-fired central-heating hot-water system boiler - with domestic hot water reservoir concentric to flue-gas draught diverter

Space is saved in a system incorporating a domestic draw-off hot water supply in a gas-fired central heating system with a draught-diverter in the flue-gas channel. The hot water storage unit is pref. in the form of an annular sheathing tank concentrically surrounding the draught diverter, with peripheral outline matching that of the water boiler. An annular gap permitting the passage of any return flow gases that may arise, may be incorporated between the inner periphery of the sheathing tank and most of the outside surface of the draught diverter. This can be subsequently as well as originally installed, and connections between boiler and storage unit are shortened, without impeding the operation of the draught diverter.
